In the Al-Nour district of Sharm El-Sheikh, a cathedral is located, which is considered among the five best cathedrals in the world thanks to its architectural style, drawings and interior inscriptions, also it is classified as the third most beautiful church site in the world. It is the heavenly cathedral.
A masterpiece, its construction began in 2002, until it was inaugurated in 2010 by His Holiness, the late Pope Shenouda III. Hundreds of Egyptian engineers participated in its construction. Its ceilings are replete with many drawings, inscriptions and icons embodying important events in Christian history. Its value is increased by the fact that it contains a library that includes many manuscripts of the Bible and ecclesiastical books.
