Designed in the form of clusters of black granite, bearing lotus leaves, topped by eight wings inspired by the wings of the god "Ra", which holds the globe with a diameter of ten meters, on it is a world map, on which the location of Egypt is determined in golden color, and above it is the pigeon carrying olive branches as a symbol of peace.
It is the "Peace Icon", also known as the "Welcome Mural", located on Airport Road in Al-Salam Square in Sharm El-Sheikh Governorate. It was established in 2015 during the preparations of the city of Sharm El-Sheikh for the economic conference as a message to the world that Sinai is a land of peace.
It is the tallest and largest peace icon in the world, with a height of 34.5 metres. It consists of three parts, the middle one has “Welcome” written on it in all the languages of the world, the right one bears a map of Sharm El-Sheikh, and the left one bears a map of Egypt. On either side of it, there are natural landscapes, along with the dancing fountain surrounding it.
