The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities participates in the International Tourism Exhibition IFTM TOP RESA in Paris

The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, represented by the Egyptian General Authority for Tourism Activation, is participating in the international tourism fair IFTM TOP RESA, which is currently being held in the French capital, Paris, and its activities will continue until September 22.
For his part, Mr. Amr El-Kady, CEO of the Egyptian General Authority for Tourism Activation, explained that the IFTM TOP RESA international tourism fair is the first tourism fair in France, and it is considered one of the five most important international tourism fairs, pointing out that Egypt always participates in this exhibition, which represents A large gathering of tour operators, tourism and airline companies from more than 40 countries, in addition to pavilions for countries and tourism organizations around the world. He added that this exhibition is a great opportunity to review the developments in the tourism sector in Egypt to officials and decision-makers in these companies, which contributes to pushing more international tourism, especially French, to Egypt.
The CEO of the Egyptian General Authority for Tourism Activation had participated in the official opening of the exhibition, in the presence of Ambassador Alaa Youssef, Egypt's ambassador to France, where they discussed ways of cooperation between the authority and the Egyptian Embassy in France to support the plans of the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities to increase tourist flows from France to Egypt. The embassy is ready to provide all means of support required for these plans.
On the sidelines of the exhibition, Mr. Amr El-Kady held a number of bilateral meetings with senior tour operators and French airlines, during which he reviewed the tourism components of the Egyptian tourist destination and the developments in the tourism sector in Egypt. He also spoke about the efforts made by the Egyptian state to develop and modernize the infrastructure. The main roads, airports, and new cities, as well as the development, restoration and maintenance works in archaeological sites and museums in Egypt, which contribute to improving and enriching the tourist experience during his visit to Egypt.
During these meetings, he also talked about the most important events that Egypt is witnessing during 2022, including the celebration of the 200th anniversary of the deciphering of ancient Egyptian writing and the emergence of Egyptology, and the 100th anniversary of the discovery of King Tutankhamun's tomb, in addition to hosting the 27th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Convention on Climate Change "COP27" in Sharm El-Sheikh next November, pointing out that these events contribute to promoting Egyptian tourist destinations, especially in the French market, as the French tourist has a great passion and interest in cultural tourism.
He also briefed them on the promotional campaigns that the authority will launch in the main markets exporting Egyptian tourism, especially the winter campaign, which aims to promote Egypt and its warm winters during the winter tourist season.
